At these three volumes the Link My Books list price is lower than Synder's on both billing bases: $35 against $52, $47 against $103 and $137 against $240. The units are not identical, though. Link My Books counts orders. Synder counts synced transactions and says every transaction except processing fees uses your balance. Synder's Essential and Pro prices are shown as starting prices that rise with volume inside the plan, so treat the Synder figures as minimums.

What each one does that the other does not

  • Synder only: a per-transaction mode that posts each order with SKUs, quantities and itemized fees; 30+ sales and payment platforms including Stripe, PayPal and Square; NetSuite, Intuit Enterprise Suite and Sage Intacct from the Pro plan; hourly imports from the Essential plan.
  • Link My Books only: a bookable one-to-one onboarding call on every plan, where Synder describes Basic and Essential setup as self-serve; unlimited additional users on every plan; and history included in the price on every plan, from 3 months on Lite to 24 months on Premium, where Synder lists history as paid on Basic and Essential.

Support differs at the bottom tier too. Synder's pricing page says Basic support requests go into a standard queue where investigations may take more than two weeks to begin. Link My Books lists email, chat and the onboarding call on all plans.

Who should pick Link My Books and who should pick Synder

  • Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce or Square seller on Xero or QuickBooks Online: Link My Books covers the job at the lower list price in the comparison above.
  • Store that takes payments through Stripe or PayPal outside a marketplace: Synder, because those platforms are among its integrations.
  • Business that needs customer and item detail in the ledger for each sale: Synder in per-transaction mode.
  • Business on NetSuite or Sage Intacct: Synder Pro or higher.

Summaries and per-order records are different bookkeeping methods, and the manual versus automated guide explains what each one leaves for you to do.

Switching between Synder and Link My Books

Pick a cutover date and let only one tool post from that date, otherwise the same sales land in the ledger twice. In Link My Books, auto-post has an optional start date, so set it to the first payout the old tool did not post. Check history before you rely on it: Lite includes 3 months, and older data is a one-off purchase priced on request.

Be careful with clean-up. The Link My Books rollback feature removes the entries it posted to your ledger, so use it only on settlements you mean to replace. Moving to Synder, run the 15-day trial before paying for a year, because Synder states that purchases are non-refundable. The trial checklist lists what to confirm before either trial ends.
