What Link My Books does with a marketplace payout
Link My Books is a subscription connector that turns each marketplace or store payout into one summarized accounting entry in Xero or QuickBooks Online. It reads the payout, groups the transactions behind it into sales, refunds, fees and taxes, and posts a summary whose total equals the bank deposit. It is not an accounting ledger, so you still need your own Xero or QuickBooks Online subscription.
The pricing page lists eight sales channels: Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Walmart (US only), TikTok Shop (UK and US), WooCommerce and Square. If the gap between recorded sales and money received is new to you, start with how sales totals differ from payout totals.
How a settlement becomes a Xero invoice or a QuickBooks journal
- You start the 14-day trial and connect a sales channel and your accounting file. The vendor says no credit card is needed.
- Link My Books imports your chart of accounts and your tax rates.
- A setup wizard proposes default accounts and tax rates, which you accept or change.
- You review and send each settlement by hand, or switch on auto-post so new ones are sent for you.
- You match the posted entry to the deposit in your bank feed.
In Xero each settlement arrives as an invoice, or as a bill when the total is negative, because Xero does not accept negative invoices. In QuickBooks Online it arrives as a journal entry. A settlement that crosses a month end is split into one entry per calendar month, and the balance is rolled into the last entry so that it still matches the deposit.
Link My Books plans and prices in US dollars
| Tier | Sales channels | History included | 15 orders a month | 1,000 orders a month | 10,000 orders a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | 1 | 3 months | $20 | $47 | $112 |
| Plus | 2 | 12 months | $27 | $55 | $124 |
| Pro | 5 | 18 months | $39 | $68 | $137 |
| Premium | 10 | 24 months | $45 | $104 | $174 |
The price depends on two things: how many orders you take across all channels and how many channels you connect. The help center says new subscriptions are billed monthly and that annual billing is no longer offered to new customers. Every tier includes unlimited additional users.
If your order count or channel count goes over the plan, the vendor emails you and upgrades the plan automatically seven days later, with a pro-rata charge. Downgrades are never automatic, so you have to lower the plan yourself when volume falls. The full tier list is on our Link My Books pricing page.
Is Link My Books legit? Company record, listings and terms
Yes. Link My Books is a registered software business, not an anonymous app. Its site says it is the trading name of PDLC Tech Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 10744178, with a registered office in Stanley, United Kingdom. Its privacy policy says it is part of the Visma Group. The Xero App Store has listed it since March 2019 and showed 612 reviews averaging 5.0 on 3 October 2026. The Shopify App Store showed 4.8 from 43 reviews.
- Security statements: the vendor says it runs on Google Cloud and Cloudflare and needs only read-only access to your Amazon or Shopify account.
- Billing: the subscription rolls monthly with no minimum term. Payments already taken are not refunded, and a canceled plan stays active to the end of the paid period.
- Cancellation: you cancel by emailing support from the owner address before renewal. Simply stopping use does not cancel. After cancellation the account is read-only for 90 days and then the data is permanently deleted, so export what you need first.
- Liability: the terms exclude liability for miscalculated tax and cap total liability at the charges you have paid.
- A complaint on record: a Shopify App Store review dated July 30, 2026 objects to having to get past a chatbot before reaching a person, and adds that human support then solved the issue.
Who Link My Books suits and who should choose something else
Link My Books suits sellers on the eight listed channels who keep their books in Xero or QuickBooks Online and want one clean entry per payout rather than one per order.
- On QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Self-Employed: the help center says these will not work. Synder lists QuickBooks Desktop among its integrations.
- On Wave: Taxomate lists Wave as a supported ledger.
- On NetSuite: A2X lists NetSuite.
- Need a separate accounting record for every order: Synder offers a per-transaction sync mode.
Our Link My Books review goes through the documented features in more depth, and the alternatives page compares the other connectors.
