Plan the handoff by role
Identify who owns the merchant account, connector subscription, accounting organization and review records. Give the next person the authorized access route, not another person’s password. This site never requests account access or uploads and cannot recover records for you.
Check what the export contains
Link My Books’ CSV guidance describes settlement and cost data and notes limitations, including currency information that may require joining to settlement-list context. Inspect the current export specification before assuming one file is self-contained. Keep the corresponding identifiers and currency record together.
Test retrieval before leaving
Choose a completed historical settlement and ask whether the authorized reviewer can find its original source, output and explanation. Record where configuration decisions and unresolved cases are stored. A downloaded file that nobody can interpret is not a successful handoff.
Minimize what leaves the system
Retain records under your organization’s applicable policy and use approved storage. Do not put customer-level exports in public folders or paste them into unapproved AI tools. Before canceling any service, verify what access and export capabilities will remain. We do not prescribe a legal retention period; confirm that with the appropriate adviser for your jurisdiction.
